UK Offshore Windfarms
- London Array – 175 Wind Turbines Located 20 km off the North Kent coast. London Array has a 630 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 500,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Subsea cable design, Engineering management and manufacturing support.
- Greater Gabbard – 140 Wind Turbines in operation since 2012. Greater Gabbard has a 504 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 400,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Subsea cable design, Engineering management and manufacturing support.
- Galloper – 56 Wind Turbines Located 27 km off the Suffolk coast. Galloper has a 353 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 390,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Engineering and manufacturing support.
- Dudgeon – 67 Wind Turbines Located 32 km off the North Norfolk coast. Dudgeon has a 402 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 430,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Subsea cable design verification, Engineering management, manufacturing support and installation engineering.
- Beatrice – 84 Wind Turbines Located 13 km off the Caithness coast. Beatrice has a 588 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 450,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Engineering and manufacturing support onshore, cable installation support offshore.
- East Anglia 1 – 102 Wind Turbines Located 43 km off the Suffolk coast. EA1 has a 714 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power around 630,000 UK homes. Kintech provided Engineering and manufacturing support. Kintech also supplied and installed the first Resin Free Hang-off on EA1 in August 2019.
- Race Bank – 91 Wind Turbines Located off the North Norfolk coast. Race Bank has a 573 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 500,000 UK homes. Kintech supplied Resin Free Hang-offs to Orsted for a remedial campaign.
European Offshore Windfarms
- Dan Tysk – 80 Wind Turbines Located in the German North Sea. Dan Tysk has a 288 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 400,000 households. In 2014 Kintech provided Subsea Cable Installation Engineering and Offshore support. In 2020 & 2021, Kintech supplied Resin Free Hang-offs to Vattenfall for a remedial campaign.
- Butendiek – 80 Wind Turbines Located in the North Sea, West of Sylt. Butendiek has a 288 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 370,000 households. Kintech provided Subsea Cable Installation Engineering and Offshore support.
- Sand Bank – 72 Wind Turbines Located 90 km off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Sand Bank has a 288 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 400,000 households. Kintech provided Subsea cable design verification, Engineering management, manufacturing support and installation engineering.
- Hohe See and Albatros – 87 Wind Turbines Located 90 km off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Sand Bank has a 288 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 400,000 households. Kintech provided Subsea cable design verification, Engineering management, manufacturing support and installation engineering.
- Horns Rev 3 – 49 Wind Turbines Located 40 km off the Danish Jutland coast. HR3 has a 407 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 425,000 Danish homes. Kintech supplied Resin Free Hang-offs to Vattenfall.
- Hollandse Kust Zuid – 139 Wind Turbines located in the North Sea 18-36 km off the Dutch coast. HKZ has a total capacity of 1.5 GW, making it one of the largest Offshore Windfarms in the world, generating enough clean energy for 1.5 million households. Kintech represented the Employer (Vattenfall) as the Array Cable Project Engineer across HKZ I and HKZ II
- EOLMED: Floating Offshore Windfarm with 3 x 10 MW Wind Turbines located 15 km from the French coastal town of Gruissan in the Mediterranean Sea. EOLMED has a total capacity of 30 MW, generating enough clean energy for 50,000 French homes. Kintech represented the Marine Warranty Surveyor (Global Maritime) as the Subsea Cable Experts for the Export cable.
- EFGL (Eoliennes Flottantes Du Golfe Du Lion): Floating Offshore Windfarm with 3 x 10 MW Wind Turbines located 16 km from the French coast in the Mediterranean Sea. EFGL has a total capacity of 30 MW, generating enough clean energy for 50,000 homes and businesses. Kintech represented the Marine Warranty Surveyor (Global Maritime) as the Subsea Cable Experts for the Export and Array cables.
Taiwanese Offshore Windfarms
- Formosa 1, Phase 2 is the first commercial scale Offshore Windfarm in Taiwan. Located approximately 6 kilometres off the west coast of the Miaoli District in Taiwan, with 22 Turbines Formosa 1 Phase 2 has a 120 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 128,000 homes in Taiwan. Kintech provided Subsea cable design, Engineering management and manufacturing support.
- Changhua (Taiwan Power Company) is the first commercial scale Offshore Windfarm owned and operated by the Taiwanese. Located off the coast of Fangyuan Township in Central Western Taiwan, with 21 Turbines TPC Phase 1 has a 110 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 100,000 homes in Taiwan. Kintech provided Subsea cable design, Engineering management and manufacturing support.
American Offshore Windfarms
- Vineyard Wind 1: Currently under construction. VW1 is America’s first utility-scale offshore wind energy project located 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. With 62 Turbines, VW1 has an 800 MW capacity and generates enough clean electricity to power over 400,000 homes in New England. Kintech represented the Employer (Vineyard Wind) as the Array Cable Supply Manager.
Inspection services
Our Engineers and Inspectors will be the eyes and ears of the Client at the manufacturing facility. Kintech Inspectors will provide regular status updates during manufacturing operations and during testing (Type Testing, In-Process, Verification, FAT etc) out load out operations, ensuring the Client’s products meet industry standards and a high level of quality is maintained. Our Inspectors can identify potential problems early in the process and working with the Client and the Supplier, Kintech can help the Client avoid delays, re-working or replacement costs.
